More points for Wickets in Tests

  • It seems really off why a bowler gets only 8 points for a wicket in Test Matches while they get 12 in T20Is and 10 in ODIs. Sample this NZ v ENG, second Test Day 1.
    Bairstow 97* got 59 points
    Southee 5/60 got 46 points

Didn't Southee deserve more than Bairstow? He took 63% of all the Wickets to fall in the day.

A bowler should get at least 10 points for a wicket, ideally 12, and at least 1 for a maiden over (even though it is Test Cricket!)
